CONCORD....ON MISSION / OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

SERVE ST. LOUIS

CONCORD volunteers may sign-up NOW; instructions for signing up with your small group, or any group from CONCORD, are on the servestlouis.org website.  Be sure to sign up by September 8, to ensure that you get assigned to the group that you want to work with!  Check it out at www.servestlouis.org!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

It's time again to start thinking about what you would like to send to a child around the world to celebrate Jesus' birth.  The "shoebox" ministry of Samaritan's Purse will reach millions of children in nearly every country on earth with the Good News of Jesus through a box of gifts and a book about the Savior's birth.  Packing Day will be Sunday, November 10. More details will be available as the day approaches!  Start collecting items now!

CONCORD FOOD PANTRY - HELP! Our food pantry is extremely low right now and we need your help!  Please help us replenish our supplies for those who come to the church for food for their families.  We need the following immediately:

Peanut Butter, jelly, boxed cereals, soups, boxed macaroni & cheese, hot cereals, canned meats, paper products

Items can be placed in the barrel or shopping cart by the kitchen door/soda vending machine.  Thank you for helping our family / neighbors!

ST. LOUIS FAMILY FOOD PANTRY is a mission opportunity for small groups, life groups, and individuals.  CONCORD serves with other churches on a 6-week rotating basis to fill boxes with food to be distributed to members of the Bosnian community and to others in the South St. Louis area.  We need volunteers for the following dates:  September 14, November 9, 2013 or January 18, 2014. If you or your group could help for 2 hours on one of those dates, please contact Carolynn Amen @ 314-843-3500.

GUATEMALA TRAINING CENTER - Please consider a generous gift to the International Indigenous Cultural Development Center (IICD) for training pastors, youth leaders, community health workers, and teaching the Bible to the Quiche people of Guatemala.  Every gift, large or small, is a blessing to the people who will learn of God's love at the center.  Information and envelopes for your contribution are available in the Atrium at the missions table.  Thank you for your generosity!

Food for our community

CONCORD’S FOOD PANTRY is an on-going ministry; needs are greater during the summer when kids are out of school. Please place non-perishable staple food items / paper products / etc. in the container by the Atrium soda machines.  Thanks for your help!
